Your first visit
- 1
Book online or call
No walk-ins, but same-day appointments are often open. Bring your insurance card.
- 2
Find the cause
We take your history and test how you move to find what eases the pain. Had X-rays or an MRI at Lehigh Valley Health Network (Jefferson Health) or St. Luke’s? We can usually pull those up, so you may not need new ones.

Leave with a plan
Most people get their first treatment the same day, and leave knowing what’s wrong, how we’ll treat it and what to do at home.

Hands-on care, plus what to do at home
Adjustments and soft-tissue work, together
An adjustment gets a stuck joint moving. Active Release Technique® frees up the tight muscle around it. You get both in the same visit, because one without the other rarely lasts.
Care for the top of the neck
Headaches, jaw pain, and that “water in my ear” pressure often come with stiffness where the skull meets the neck. We check the top two vertebrae (C1 and C2) when your symptoms are above the shoulders.
Exercises you’ll actually do
For disc pain, a short routine built on McKenzie principles. For everything else, two or three moves that fit in your day. The goal is fewer visits, not more.
Patients
In their words
My neck pain started radiating down my arm. The staff got me seen quickly. Dr. Bentson was very thorough, never made me feel rushed or dismissed, and listened to my concerns.
I had severe constant neck and shoulder pain for almost three months from a repetitive work injury. By the end of four weeks I had little to no pain left. He gave me exercises to do at home.
I went to a neurologist and a podiatrist looking for the source of the pain in my back. It was Dr. Bentson who diagnosed it and is successfully treating me.

Paying for care
Two ways to pay
Insurance
In-network with just about all major plans. Our coordinator calls your insurer, finds out what’s covered and gives you a reference number from the call.
Self-pay
No insurance, or rather not use it? Ask about self-pay rates when you book.
Can I get in today?
Often, yes. We don’t take walk-ins, but same-day appointments are often open. Check online scheduling for today, or call 610-868-6800.
Do you take my insurance?
Most likely. We’re in-network with Aetna, Highmark, Capital Blue Cross, Independence Blue Cross, Horizon BCBS, UnitedHealthcare and Medicare Part B, plus auto and work injury claims. We check your benefits before your first visit.
How many visits will I need?
We won’t guess before your exam. We aim to get you out of care as quickly as possible and teach you how to keep the problem from coming back.
Do I need X-rays or an MRI?
Not always. We order imaging only when the result would change your treatment. If you’ve had X-rays or an MRI at Lehigh Valley Health Network (Jefferson Health) or St. Luke’s, we can usually look them up, so you may not need new ones.
Will you work with my other doctors?
Yes. We coordinate with your physicians, and if your problem isn’t something we can help, we’ll tell you and refer you.
